This storyline was drawn sometime in 1995, as it was created right around the time when the Internet first became popular and widely used.

In this one, Adam goes through the same thing all of us now-experts had to go through when we first started out online. And yes, Dumville Online is a direct parody of America Online.

Sadly, a lot of the jokes in these comics have become dated simply because the technology has grown considerably since then. The early America Online "art updates" in Versions 2.0 and 2.5 were perhaps some of the biggest pains in the necks we early e-mailers had to endure long ago in the mid-90s.

Also dating the comic is the fact that the service was billing Adam by the minute, light years before AOL introduced a standard monthly fee.
