The infamous movie that was delayed and delayed....and delayed, and then reedited and digitally altered! Warner Bros. claims that the changes were made because it was "too intense" for younger viewers (in other words, they wanted to eventually air it on KidsWB). And ironically enough, the story itself was kept pretty much intact.
But lucky fans who were able to see the original cut (thanks to the wonder of retail promo screeners) told everyone else that they were missing some great (and scary!) images. Warner Bros. finally caved in to pressure and pleading from fans and the show's producers, and an uncut version was finally issued on DVD (almost a year and a half after the original release).
Order the edited version on DVD or VHS at Amazon.
Or see what you've been missing and order the original, uncut, edgier version on DVD.
