Fiesta de Comiquitas Translated as Cartoon Festival, these are the earliest known Warner Bros. cartoon compilations to be dubbed into Spanish. Most if not all of these versions of the cartoons would be utitlized for every subsequent Spanish-language release throughout the world, even eventually leading to the dreaded sped-up "time compressed" masters of the shorts seen on Cartoon Network. In 1986, meanwhile, these specific collections would be ported over into the United States also under the Fiesta de Comiquitas banner to serve as a Spanish alternative to the Looney Tunes Video Show releases. They would remain in print there until the end of the century. More information on the U.S. versions can be found on our Mexico page. Opening titles were cut in various ways on each of the cartoons, sometimes starting right after WB shield zoom, sometimes at the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies title screen, sometimes at the "Bugs Bunny in" card, or sometimes simply at the short's title card. Inversely, in most cases the final "That's all Folks" end tag was also missing, usually appearing just after the final short (along with an overdub from Bugs wishing us farewell).
Fiesta de Comiquitas Mel Blanc's voice can still be heard as the puppy's barking and during some of Foghorn's "Camptown Races" scat-singing in Feather Bluster, while in My Little Duckaroo Porky's opening song and Daffy's "Whoa, Tinfoil!" line are both still in English. Perhaps most interestingly, though, is that apart from the missing WB shield zoom, Caveman Inki runs completely intact and undubbed--not even an off-camera Spanish speaker reading over the title card.

Festival de Dibujos Animados Warner Bros. Although the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and Speedy were also featured on the back covers in their Golden Jubilee era tuxedos, the series only consisted of four volumes. Bugs of course was volume one.

MGM Cartoon Festivals At the time, MGM Home Video releases in Argentina were distributed by Videoman Internacional.
Daffy Duck Cartoon Festival Featuring "Ain't That Ducky" Though the back cover only lists the same five cartoons found on the U.S. edition of the Ain't That Ducky video (see the above program list), the front cover, however, claims to feature three additional shorts. El Gran Robo is The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, while El Pato Lucas y el Dinosaurio is of course The Stupid Cupid--err, that is, Daffy Duck and the Dinosaur. The final additional title on the front cover is Un Pato Listo, the Spanish title for The Wise Quacking Duck--which in turn is mislabeled on the back cover as El Cazador Cazado. If both Un Pato Listo and El Cazador Cazado are featured on this tape then it would truly be bizarre, because the latter is in actuality the Spanish title for Two Gophers from Texas!

In addition to a dubbed version of the cheesy Happy Birthday Bugs TV special, the video also includes as a bonus the complete Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales, mentioned on the back with a blurb not unlike how eventual DVD cases would advertise their special features.

Quasarkids Quasar Video Home seemed to be a legitimate distributor based out of Buenos Aires that was able to strike deals with a number of major studios. Similar to MGM's old Viddy-Oh! children's line, the label launched a cassette series called Quasarkids that presented family-friendly releases including a few Disney titles (such as Bambi and a Donald Duck compilation) and some of the MGM releases. Despite their at-times bootleggy-looking covers, these appear to be authentic releases.

Scent-imental Romeo - Past Perfumance - Really Scent

Odor of the Day - The Little Goldfish
VEA strikes again with another bizarre bootleg, right down to an unintelligible "title" (Pepe le Pew's what exactly?). It almost makes one wonder if VEA thought these cartoons were all in the public domain, but even then Argentina usually adheres to an "authors-life-plus-50" copyright rule for cinematic works, so at the time of this release there was absolutely nothing of Pepe's that was free and clear.
Most of the video is obviously just lifted from Pepe le Pew's Skunk Tales, but then for a weird left turn it slaps on the 1939 Rudolf Ising cartoon The Little Goldfish. To the label's "credit," the back cover does at least note that it's an MGM production.
